Find your voices.

Find your way.

Feel like yourself &

feel at home,

wherever you are.

So, what brings you here,

to grow your language practice?

Being in a new space, new relationship,

new season of life, or new mix of languages

can be an experience for kids and adults where,

on the one hand, we feel overwhelmed, or,

on the other hand, we feel refreshed.

At MiniMax Maison, we help you

navigate it as a positive experience!

We provide engaging language practice

opportunities and community spaces

built on a foundation that

highlights what unites us in our diversity,

so you can discover confidence and beauty

in your family's unique voices

and have the liberty to grow

anywhere, in any direction, and thrive.

More interested in private lessons,

one-on-one (child or adult)

or as a family together?

Let’s do something more tailored.

  • Most of my students meet with me weekly, some twice a week, and some bi-weekly. Consistency is best, so I recommend more regularly/often, but we are also realistically building this in to our lives. What feels doable now?

  • Depending on schedules, we can do 30-minute, 45-minute or 60-minute lessons. Or even longer. Length depends on attention span, availability and budget. So let’s come up with something that works for you.

  • On Zoom or in person.

Zoom is convenient and is often chosen even by local students, who then periodically come in person. Often I prefer to do in person with kids if possible, especially since my studio is designed for language play.

Don’t Let Language Barriers

Dim Your Light

Without a welcoming community to support your language journey,

we risk feeling isolated, missing opportunities for new friendships,

and the chance to connect deeply with ourselves and who we are.

What are you missing and searching for?

  • a place to simply start (perhaps again) with direction?

  • a creative environment that allows you to play with language?

  • a feeling of connection that a language practice can facilitate?

  • a more consistent way of incorporating language into daily life?

Embrace your voice.

Now is the time to do it! While you are curious and the idea is fresh in your mind.

You might recognize an opportunity now as it lines up with your current season of life.

This is your nudge to not let the chance pass you by!

Or you can take mini steps now to start building a foundation

so that when life allows you to take bigger leaps, you know exactly where to go.

There’s no one way to do it. Or right way.

Or maybe you’re thinking not about your own language practice,

but about someone else’s language skills.

Is it a partner, a child, or another relation?

Encourage them and see how it rubs off

on others (and you) who see them enjoying themselves.

While I understand reasons for putting it off as a future activity for a better time,

I know from my own experience and other families that

the best time is now, even if it’s tiny steps as you get started.

You will learn to recognize the opportunities that present themselves,

to focus on what is most meaningful to you,

to surround yourself with people who broaden your horizon,

and to prolong the benefits of travel

to create a long-term, positive relationship with languages and cultures.

You’ll find bigger steps will come and you’ll be ready to seize the chances.

Begin today. Commence aujourd’hui.

And begin again. Et recommence.

Et encore. Et encore. Et encore.
