I cannot recommend Anna Dow enough. She helped unlock my daughter’s ability to truly speak French, even after years of hearing it at home from my French-speaking wife. My daughter absolutely loved going to her house, where learning the language felt more like play than work.
I’ve since started lessons myself, and she has given me the confidence to finally begin speaking French (after also hearing it at home for years). She is not only knowledgeable, but also patient, kind, and encouraging, which makes such a difference in the learning process.

To say that Anna has endless patience and creativity would be an understatement! Anna has worked with our family to find way to incorporate French into our lives. She has brought joy and adventure to the quest of introducing French to our children. She regularly works with our 8-year-old son. She cultivates dynamic and warm atmosphere in which to learn and incorporates learning through play. Anna personalizes lessons for our child to meet him where he is and engage him— his interests, attention span and even upcoming travel/culture.
